Trip Overview

Ever wonder what life as a Sudcalifornian cowboy was like? This one-of-a-kind experience lets you in on some of our secrets! Just beware, our local vaqueros and guides will lure you in with their stories and lasso your heart into our land, you’ll never want to leave.

We start off with a half day adventure, sharing our traditional garments, and all of the gear used to work in this rugged landscape. Later in the day, you will meet your new best friend: your mula! Learn its name and bond with this uniquely rugged. Take a 2.5 hour ride into the dry forest overflowing with wildlife, you’ll just have to keep your eyes peeled, and marvel at the unique view of the sea.

Once the ride is over, enjoy a farm-to-table mean prepared by our chef Ivan; using our local veggies!

Join us for a half day trip of a lifetime,  you will get the chance of a real cowboy experience in Baja. Ride a Mule around the gorgeous landscape of Gaspareño Ranch. As the rides develop the rhythm of the mules and the beauty of the view will take you to a peaceful state of mind.

Climate and weather

La Paz is situated on the Gulf of California on the southern part of the Baja California peninsula. It is separated from the Pacific by a desert environment with low mountains in between. We get large temperature swings, typically in the late fall and spring, up to 40 degrees fahrenheit (40 degrees celsius). This can be true even during winter. Outside of summer, we recommend packing for HOT and COLD weather. Most importantly, be prepared for a sun that’s stronger than you may be used to due to our latitude. Remember, a sunburn takes just a couple hours to develop, but it can ruin the rest of your trip. Stay shaded and stay hydrated.

Luggage

For day trips, you’ll want to bring a small bag or backpack for your water bottle and personal items. Our boats have a dry storage space.
