Attending travel shows and conferences is an important business practice that can benefit tour companies in many ways, including building professional relationships, meeting the media, leveraging tips from other like-minded businesses, learning new ideas from industry experts, gaining an understanding of best practices, and of course meeting new friends along the way.
This year RED Sustainable Travel was chosen along with two other tour operators to receive a prestigious scholarship to attend the Adventure Travel World Summit, which will be held in Namibia this coming October. RED Sustainable Travel was chosen along with Uptuyu Adventures from Australia and Zbulo! – Discover Albania.
RED Sustainable Travel will join hundreds of like-minded adventure travel leaders from around the world where they will partake in small group outings, learning about Namibia’s conservation efforts, and will gather as a community to forge new partnerships and share strategies for success. RED looks forward to the opportunity to visit and learn from Namibia’s field conservancies, and to take home valuable insight in how to better their conservation and tourism efforts in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
Says Founder Christopher Pesenti: “We will use this opportunity to engage with leaders in the field and identify successful models for conservation and social development that could be replicated or modified for application here in Mexico.”
